Eligibility:

The Handwriting Olympiad is open to students from Grade I to Grade XII, divided into three distinct categories to ensure fair assessment and age-appropriate evaluation:

  • Category A : Students of Class I to IV
  • Category B : Students of Class V to VIII
  • Category C : Students of Class IX to XII

Syllabus:

  • The Handwriting syllabus focuses on developing strong foundational writing skills through
  • Correct alphabet formation (upper and lower case) with proper stroke direction and pencil control.
  • Consistent spacing between letters and words, maintaining neat writing on ruled lines.
  • Uniform letter size, alignment, and slant control with strong baseline discipline.
  • Neat and legible writing with error-free presentation.
  • Clear sentence writing with structured flow and readability.
  • Basic paragraph formation.
  • Writing fluency and endurance while maintaining overall neatness
  • Students may use either a pen or pencil for the examination and may write in cursive, Lucida or print style.

Examination Fee:

Schools are responsible for facilitating student registration for Manuscriptum – The Handwriting Olympiad. Registration is done only online. A minimum of 30 students must be registered from each school. A brochure, including registration form is provided to all registered schools. Schools not yet registered can request the brochure by emailing info@manuscriptum.in.
It is essential for schools to ensure that all registration form and student details are completed according to the instructions. Completed forms must be submitted by the specified deadline.
Handwriting Olympiad Enrollment Fee per Student: Rs. 150/-
An Amount of Rs. 30 per candidate can be retained by schools to meet contingencies like dispatch of Writing Sheets, invigilation, obtaining Demand Draft and other miscellaneous expenses. The enrollment fee i.e., Rs. 120/- can be paid through approved payment methods to MANUSCRIPTUM.

How to Apply?

  • Step 1: Download all necessary information from our official website.
  • Step 2: Appoint a coordinator from your school’s staff to manage the Manuscriptum – The Handwriting Olympiad. The coordinator will share information about the Olympiad with students and encourage their participation. Once the student list is finalized, you can proceed to the payment method.
    We encourage schools to actively motivate students to participate in this competition.
    Approved Payment Methods: Payment can be made through Online from official website (or) Bank Transfer, (or) UPI, (or) Cheque, (or) Demand Draft (DD), DD should be drawn in favor of (MANUSCRIPTUM), payable at Hyderabad. Schools can send a request via email for Bank Account & UPI details.
  • Step 3: Register your school on our official website. During registration, please upload the student data in an Excel format and update the total fee or provide the payment details.
  • Step 4: Once the registration form is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email from the Manuscriptum within 48 hours.

Recommended Preparation Plan

It is advisable to provide students with one month of guided practice under a handwriting teacher using the appropriate materials before the examination. After this preparation period, they may participate in the Handwriting Olympiad. This structured practice will significantly enhance student performance and overall writing quality.
