Ans: The competition has three categories:
- Category A – Classes I to IV
- Category B – Classes V to VIII
- Category C – Classes IX to XII
Ans: The examination is conducted offline in participating schools (School Level) or National Level will be in designated examination centres.
Yes. Students first participate at the school level, and selected winners qualify for the National Level Examination.
Ans: Yes. If a student’s school is not participating in the Handwriting Olympiad, they can register individually through the official registration page on the Manuscriptum website
Ans: A minimum of 30 students must be registered by each participating school.
Ans: Yes, Schools may choose any examination date from the official schedule at their convenience. If a school wishes to conduct the examination on a date not listed in the schedule, it may do so with prior approval from Manuscriptum.
Ans: Students are given 20 minutes to complete the handwriting task.
Ans: Students copy the printed text provided on the competition sheet in the space provided.
Ans: Yes. Students may write using either a pen or a pencil.
Ans: No. Cursive writing is recommended, but students may also write in print style.
Ans: Students are advised to practice handwriting for at least one month under proper guidance before appearing for the Olympiad.
Ans: Schools return the completed writing sheets to Manuscriptum for expert evaluation.
Ans: The enrolment fee is ₹150 per student. Yes. Schools may retain ₹30 per student towards administrative expenses, while the remaining amount is payable to Manuscriptum.
Ans: Qualified handwriting experts evaluate each writing sheet based on 50+ handwriting parameters.
Ans: School-level results are announced after evaluation, and awards are dispatched to participating schools.
Ans: Top-performing students from each category at the school level qualify for the National Level Examination.

- Third Prize – Bronze Medal & Certificate
And every participant will get Participation certificate with Corrective advice report.

Ans: Each participant receives a personalized Corrective Advice Report prepared by qualified handwriting experts based on 50+ handwriting parameters. The report helps students improve handwriting quality, clarity, and legibility.
Ans: The Cursive Handwriting Books and the Handwriting Olympiad Categories are separate and are not related to each other. Students should choose the book according to their class, as shown below:
Cursive Handwriting Books:
- Level I: Grades 1 & 2
- Level II: Grades 3 & 4
- Level III: Grades 5 & 6
- Level IV: Grades 7 to 12
Handwriting Olympiad Categories:
- Category A: Grades 1 to 4
- Category B: Grades 5 to 8
- Category C: Grades 9 to 12
For example, a Grade 4 student should use the Level II handwriting book and participate in Category A of the Handwriting Olympiad.
No. The Handwriting Olympiad registration and the Cursive Handwriting Books are separate.
- The Olympiad registration fee (₹150) covers only participation in the Handwriting Olympiad.
- The Cursive Handwriting Books must be purchased separately if required.
- Purchasing the books is not mandatory for schools to participate in the Olympiad.
